Sept. 7 was Back to School Night at the elementary and junior high campuses. Students were encouraged to bring their family to meet the teachers, see the classrooms and learn about organizations and the Title I program. Thanks to our community partners who provided hot dog meals.
Parents, similar to Istation, our teachers use Imagine Math; an adaptive, interactive math program that teaches math skills at your student's skill level and helps them practice what they've learned. Plainview ISD is excited to announce Marcelina Nava as the new PHS Choir Director! Marcy Nava holds a degree in music. She comes from a musical family, and she shows her love for music with her church community and family. Mrs. Nava is extremely vested in the success of the choir program. She also has a very accomplished daughter who participates in the program. Mrs. Nava has taught Spanish at PHS and has served as department chair, and she is a 21 year veteran educator. She has agreed to step out of Spanish to continue the tradition of excellence in choir for PHS. In the words of Marcy Nava: "I am so honored and humbled to have been entrusted with the position and teach this incredible group of students."

7th B won their matchup 8-0, while the 7th A game was shortened with the Bulldogs trailing 12-6 at the time the game was called due to darkness.

The Plainview High School Cheerleading squad is having a Bulldog Buddies fundraiser! Students in grades Pre-K -6th are invited to run out of the tunnel with our Bulldogs at the Homecoming game! The deadline to sign up is September 8th.

Following a pre-game reception, 11 new inductees to the Plainview Athletics Hall of Honor were honored at halftime of Friday's football game.
The Hall of Honor is located outside the gym at Plainview Junior High and contains plaques highlighting the careers of each honoree.
Seniors who participate in band, cheerleading, cross country, football and student trainers were recognized on Senior Night at the football game this past Friday.
Congratulations to our seniors and their families. We are proud of all of our seniors. Always a Bulldog!
In the first home game, the Bulldogs move to 2-0 on the season after a convincing 35-7 win over Pampa on Senior Night.
The Bulldogs travel to Wichita Falls Old High for a Thursday night matchup on September 7th. The next home game is homecoming on September 15th.

Plainview Bulldogs opened the season with a 45-18 win in Levelland Friday.
Next Friday, September 1st, is a big night in Plainview. It will be the first home game of the season (vs Pampa), Senior Night and the night that the Hall of Honor inductees are honored.
