Varsity and JV Girls basketball took on Estacado in the Dog House last night. JV girls jumped out to a 21-2 lead after the first quarter and won easily. The Varsity girls lost by three points in a game that was close the whole way.

Plainview Families: The Hale County Literacy Council extends their invitation for their Family Reading Night at the Fair Theatre located at 717 Broadway St. The book read will be "The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever" join them tomorrow at 4 p.m!
The Jr. High Basketball teams played Hereford last night. Pictures from the four home games (boys) are posted on the Plainview Athletics Facebook page. The boys won three of the four games.

Schedule Change:
Varsity and JV Girls Basketball will play Estacado at home tonight. JV will play at 4:30 followed by Varsity at 6:00pm.

Yesenia Pardo, Assistant Superintendent for Educational Leadership, presented the new Attendance Flag to North Elementary School this morning. North Elementary has had the highest average attendance for the district for the first two six-week periods this school year. Attendance is important for student academic success and for the success of Plainview Independent School District.
Congratulations to North Elementary! Thank you for making attendance a priority!
Each six weeks the flag will move to the campus with the highest attendance percentage for the previous six weeks.
The Jr High basketball teams played Borger on Thursday night. The girls were at home while the boys were in Borger.

19 players from the Bulldogs Football team received All-District honors. Congratulations to each of these players and also to their teammates and coaches for a great season.

Central Elementary School collected food items for the Salvation Army. A total of 2, 878 food items were collected by the various houses. The Orange House (Integrity) collected the most food items with 940!

At the November Board meeting, the Plainview Board of Trustees recognized various students in the areas of Tennis for their achievements during the fall season. In addition, Plainview ISD is pleased to announce that we have 18 foreign exchange students registered for this school year! The students are here from three different exchange programs, but a majority of them are here as a part of a distinguished, meticulous foreign exchange program that has given them scholarships to study and attend a U.S. school for the academic year. Join us in giving our new students a warm welcome!
Don't forget! Plainview ISD will be closed next week starting Monday, November 20th through the 24th for Thanksgiving Break! Have a safe week and we will welcome everyone back on Monday, November 27th!
