Plainview ISD is aware of the tragic incident that occurred in our community. Our hearts are with the family and all those affected during this very difficult time.
The situation is currently under investigation, and we are awaiting confirmed information from law enforcement. As details are verified and appropriate to share, any relevant information will be communicated through official channels.
We ask our community to join us in extending compassion, respect, prayers and patience as this process unfolds.
Batter’s Eye Update ⚾️
We wanted to share an update on the batter’s eye at the field:
It’s coming together and looking much better as work continues.
To improve visibility even more, we’ve also ordered an additional panel for the bottom that will further darken the area and enhance contrast. That panel will be installed as soon as it arrives.
A huge thank you to our maintenance team for their hard work and dedication in getting this completed, especially while juggling so many other priorities. We also truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through the final details.
We’ll share a final photo once everything is fully completed. Go Bulldogs! 🐾⚾️

From August through December, we partnered with Toot’n Totum through their Spirit Pumps program. Where 5¢ from every gallon pumped was donated back to Plainview ISD.
Today, we were excited to be presented with a check showing just how much our community raised during that time… and we’re proud to share that Plainview ISD raised the MOST compared to Amarillo and Lubbock! 🙌🏼
Our winter athletes helped celebrate this moment and the impact of an incredible community partnership. These funds will pour right back into our district to support our staff, students and programs.
Huge thank you to Toot’n Totum and to our Bulldog community for always showing up and showing OUT! 🐾

Huge thank you to our maintenance crew! 👏🏼
Their goal was to install the batter’s eye last week, but extreme weather — including freezing temperatures, high winds, and icy conditions — required their immediate focus on clearing parking lots and keeping our campuses safe.
We appreciate their long hours and commitment, even in tough conditions. Your work does not go unnoticed!

🐾 January Bulldog Award Spotlight 🐾
We are proud to recognize two incredible individuals who truly embody what it means to be a Bulldog. Their dedication, heart, and commitment to our students and campuses do not go unnoticed.
-Sergeant Amos Rodriguez | PISD Police Department
Sergeant Rodriguez is a constant presence across three campuses, always stepping up wherever he’s needed. His hard work, reliability, and leadership make a huge difference every single day. Most importantly, our kiddos absolutely love him, he builds relationships, creates trust, and keeps safety at the forefront with a smile. We are beyond blessed to have Sergeant Rodriguez serving our PISD family.
- Jo Lund | Ash High School
Ms. Lund is the definition of dedication. She has played a key role in creating a clear and effective roadmap to help Ash students meet — and exceed — English I and English II EOC expectations. The December 2025 STAAR results speak for themselves: her students outperformed district, regional, and state averages in both English I and English II.
What makes this even more remarkable? Jo is still in the process of obtaining her teaching certification , a true testament to her instructional skill, work ethic, and passion for student success.
- Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Amos Rodriguez and Jo Lund — two Bulldogs who go above and beyond for our students and our district.
