Bulldogs Lead - North Elementary
Students from each grade of North Elementary were honored Wednesday for their character and leadership. They celebrated through the halls, ate snow cones with the PISD Police and explored a fire truck and ambulance with the Plainview Fire Dept .
The Lady Bulldogs hosted Idalou Tuesday night. All three teams won in straight sets.

Bulldogs Lead - Intermediate School
These students were recognized by their teachers for setting positive examples on the Intermediate School Campus by demonstrating character. Plainview ISD Police Officers celebrated these students with snow cones, games and t-shirts.
Don't forget! The Counselors Family Educational Series is today at 5:30 p.m. in the Plainview ISD Board Room. The topic discussed today is: Suicide Prevention, Managing Emotions, Sharing Hope.
The Bulldogs are 4-0 after a win against Dumas Friday night.

Thursday is Twin Day for Homecoming Spirit Week.
The Homecoming parade and city wide pep rally is scheduled for tomorrow evening. The parade begins @ 7:00 pm at the High School parking lot and will have its usual route ending at the Plainview Education Complex. The pep rally starts at 7:30pm! Come out and support the Bulldogs!

Coffee & Conversation
Plainview South Elementary held its first Coffee & Conversation of the school year on (August 22nd. Coffee & Conversation is designed as a time for parents to sit down with the campus principal and discuss topics of interest and importance to the parents.
As parents and students entered the room for Coffee and Conversation, they encountered a table and shelves covered with books. Each student was able to select a book to take home and parents were encouraged to take books for siblings that might be at home. Beyond the table of books was another table covered with pastries, juice, and coffee for all the participants.
The topic for the first meeting at South Elementary was school safety and security. Jennifer Hughey, Principal for South Elementary, discussed many of the safety features of the new building. She explained the procedures that would be followed in the case of various types of emergencies and discussed the type of training that has prepared the staff to encounter these potential situations.
Following a brief question and answer period, parents wrote down topics that they would like to discuss at future Coffee & Conversation meetings. The meeting concluded with the parents touring the South Elementary campus.
Each of the elementary campuses hosts a time for parents to discuss topics of interest with the principal. Central and South call this time Coffee & Conversation, while at Plainview North it is called Café Conmigo. The first Café Conmigo at Plainview North Elementary will be at 7:30am on September 12th. Plainview South Elementary will host its next Coffee & Conversation on September 26th at 7:30am.
