
National Technical Honor Society Inducts New Members
Outstanding Career and Technical Students at Plainview High School were honored Monday as the newest inductees into the National Technical Honor Society, the honor society for Career & Technical Education (CTE). Thirty-six students were inducted for membership based on their skill development and academic achievement in their Career & Technical courses. These students met all of the requirements necessary to be inducted.
Since 1984, NTHS has been the honor society for CTE, serving high schools, career centers, community & technical colleges, and universities. Recognizing over 50,000 new members annually, NTHS exists to advocate for and empower all students to pursue the technical and academic skills needed to build their careers and a skilled global workforce.

The Lady Bulldogs softball season came to an end on Saturday in the Bi-District round of the playoffs with a series loss to the Lubbock Cooper Pirates.

Plainview ISD has partnered with Texas Tech University to offer Chinese lessons to ALL PHS students! Classes will be held at PCHS or virtually every Monday at 4:30. Join us for activities, language learning and get help from experienced TTU instructors.

The In Plain-View event is a joint venture between the City of Plainview and Plainview ISD to promote community awareness and involvement. In the last district home game of the season, the Bulldogs faced a tough Amarillo High team on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs ultimately lost the game 5-1.
The regular season finale is at Amarillo High on Friday.

The 2023-24 PHS Band Banquet was held Friday night at the James Hearn Activity Center. Banquet events included student awards and scholarships, a video recap of the year, and a preview of the 2024 marching show. The evening concluded with a dance for all the students and guests.

Our PHS NJROTC Program was awarded a Unit Achievement for area 19! Let's congratulate our PHS ROTC unit for this accolade! 👏🔝

Bulldogs picked up a 9-1 win against Palo Duro Friday evening. It was Senior Night for the Bulldogs.

Ava Rushing (Discus), Riley Curtis (Shot Put) and the Boys 4x200 meter relay team competed at the Regional Track meet in Lubbock on Friday. Rushing and Curtis both placed 6th!
Congratulations on a great season!
The Regional Track meet is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.

PHS Spanish Club is inviting the community to a bilingual reading at PHS! There will be free snacks and giveaways for the attendees.
The event is hosted by Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica/Spanish Club along with Frenship HS and Corazòn con Razón.


Jr High students learned soccer skills after school this week at the band practice field. Soccer players from Wayland coached the sessions which included instruction based on the different positions the students will play.
