The Plainview High School academic awards assembly will be on Monday, May 18th at 6:00pm in PHS Auditorium. This will be for grades 9-12. Award recipients should receive an invitation in the mail soon.

Yearbook Sale
Seniors and Parents:

GEN TX is May 7th starting at 1:00pm in the auditorium. if you qualify, you should be receiving a letter in the mail. Parents and students are welcome to start checking in at the front of the auditorium at 12:40pm after lunch.

Students are only allowed 2 guests in the auditorium and to walk them through the bulldog in the gym. All other family members need to report to the gym by 2:00pm to watch those festivities.

Students and parents are encouraged to wear your college shirt or colors and be festive with us!

El evento GEN TX se llevará a cabo el 7 de mayo, comenzando a las 1:00 p. m. en el auditorio. Si cumplen con los requisitos, recibirán una carta por correo postal. Se invita a padres y estudiantes a registrar su asistencia en la entrada del auditorio a partir de las 12:40 p.m.

Cada estudiante tiene permitido invitar únicamente a dos personas para que los acompañen dentro del auditorio y para cruzar con ellos bajo el arco del "Bulldog" en el gimnasio. El resto de los familiares deberán dirigirse al gimnasio antes de las 2:00 p. m. para presenciar las festividades.

Senior parents:
The TSIA2 test is being offered to PHS Seniors on April 8th down at the Plainview Collegiate School building at 8am. Counselors have talked to all students about the importance of TSI testing and determined with each student if they need to take this test for college entrance purposes. Please talk to your Senior and see if they have signed up to take this test. Our sign up deadline is tomorrow morning at 8am if you feel that your student needs to be added to the list, please call immediately. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s PHS Counselor.
Please note that students who sign up will be paid for by the district and attendance will be mandatory.

33 Plainview High School Juniors and Seniors were inducted into National Technical Honor Society on Wednesday night. NTHS is a Honor Society for students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes and members of Career and Technical Students Organizations like FFA, BPA, HOSA and FCCLA.

NTHS Inductees Spring 2026

Four seniors were inducted into the Plainview High School Chapter of the National Honor Society today. To be eligible for National Honor Society, students must have a cumulative scholastic average of 5.1 and are then evaluated on the basis of service, leadership, and character. Students maintain their membership by participating in service activities and continuing to show excellence in the classroom.

COLLAR DEADLINE IS APPROACHING!

The deadline to have your collar monogrammed with your college/trade/military school of choice is coming up THURSDAY, MARCH 12 @ 4PM.

You must have an acceptance letter to show your Counselor in order to have your collar monogrammed! You can bring us a copy of your letter, or email it to your Counselor.

Our next deadline is to qualify for GenTX. You must complete your FAFSA and have an acceptance letter by April 27th. If you have any questions, please contact your student's counselor at PHS. Thank you!

The Junior League of Lubbock Volunteer Scholarship deadline is fast approaching. Applications must be received by March 13, 2026.

The Junior League of Lubbock (JLL) is pleased to announce the availability of our $2,500 Volunteer Service Award Scholarship and kindly asks for your assistance in sharing this opportunity with eligible students.
This scholarship will be awarded to a young woman who has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to voluntarism and meets the following criteria:
• Female
• High school senior, or obtained a GED during the current League year, or currently attending a transitional school
• Planning to attend a post-secondary institution (college, university, or trade school) during the 2026 academic year through Spring 2027
• Resident of Lubbock, Lamb, Hale, Floyd, Crosby, Garza, Lynn, Terry, or Hockley counties
• Demonstrated commitment to volunteer service
Applications will be reviewed by the Community Impact Council of the Junior League of Lubbock, which will make a recommendation to the JLL Board of Directors. The final selection will be based on the highest cumulative score in the following areas:
1. Volunteer activities
2. Demonstrated impact of volunteer efforts
3. Continued commitment to voluntarism
4. References
The $2,500 scholarship award will be made payable directly to the college, university, or trade school the recipient plans to attend.
Applications close on Friday, March 13, 2026.
