The ELC had a great time celebrating the Love of Reading during Dr. Seuss Week. Our students enjoyed special guest readers throughout the week who helped make reading even more exciting for our youngest learners. A big thank you to the WBU men’s and women’s soccer teams, Wayland football, Coach Hinojosa, Judge Collins, the PISD Police Department, and everyone else who took time out of their day to come read to our students. Your support helps create meaningful experiences for our children and encourages a love of reading at an early age. We appreciate our community partners for helping make this week special for our ELC students.

Junior High Closed Tomorrow – Plumbing Issue

Due to a major plumbing issue affecting Plainview Junior High, school will be canceled tomorrow for all junior high students. All other campuses will remain in session.

A main sewage line serving the campus requires repair, which has impacted restroom and kitchen operations. City officials, district maintenance staff, and contractors will be working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Because this cancellation is related to a facility emergency, Junior High students will not be required to make up this day.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to correct the problem safely and efficiently.
