At the November Board meeting, the Plainview Board of Trustees recognized various students in the areas of Tennis for their achievements during the fall season. In addition, Plainview ISD is pleased to announce that we have 18 foreign exchange students registered for this school year! The students are here from three different exchange programs, but a majority of them are here as a part of a distinguished, meticulous foreign exchange program that has given them scholarships to study and attend a U.S. school for the academic year. Join us in giving our new students a warm welcome!

Don't forget! Plainview ISD will be closed next week starting Monday, November 20th through the 24th for Thanksgiving Break! Have a safe week and we will welcome everyone back on Monday, November 27th!

Tomorrow, November 10th, Plainview Junior High will be honoring our Veterans. The Veterans assembly will begin at 9:00am at the Junior High, 2200 W. 20th. If you are a veteran, or know a veteran, we would like to honor you at this service. We appreciate your service!

Plainview Families: Earlier this afternoon, the City of Plainview Police Department was looking for a suspicious person. This person has been apprehended. There is no threat to students, schools, or staff members per our Plainview ISD Police Department.

Plainview Elementary and Intermediate campuses collected coins in September for a firefighter monument that will be placed at Fire Station #2. The class at each campus that collected the most money enjoyed pizza at the fire station today. Students collected a total of $3,712.83.

The Plainview Bulldogs football season came to an end in Amarillo last night as the Bulldogs lost to Palo Duro. Win or lose this team played hard each game until the end and gave the community much to be proud of. #tbw Pictures at: https://www.facebook.com/plainviewathletics

Shout out to Mia's Italian Restaurant for helping make math fun! Fifth grade students learned the order of operations for math equations using the PEMDAS Pizza model. Mia's donated pizza boxes for the students' math pizzas. Thank you for supporting our students in the classroom!
