Fifth grade students at Plainview Intermediate School share some of the projects they created in Social Studies. Students researched an individual from the early days of our nation and created a project to present to the class as they shared what they learned. Great job!

Varsity and JV Girls basketball took on Estacado in the Dog House last night. JV girls jumped out to a 21-2 lead after the first quarter and won easily. The Varsity girls lost by three points in a game that was close the whole way. https://www.facebook.com/plainviewathletics

Plainview Families: The Hale County Literacy Council extends their invitation for their Family Reading Night at the Fair Theatre located at 717 Broadway St. The book read will be "The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever" join them tomorrow at 4 p.m!

Schedule Change: Varsity and JV Girls Basketball will play Estacado at home tonight. JV will play at 4:30 followed by Varsity at 6:00pm. Come out and cheer on the Lady Dogs to victory!

Yesenia Pardo, Assistant Superintendent for Educational Leadership, presented the new Attendance Flag to North Elementary School this morning. North Elementary has had the highest average attendance for the district for the first two six-week periods this school year. Attendance is important for student academic success and for the success of Plainview Independent School District. Congratulations to North Elementary! Thank you for making attendance a priority! Each six weeks the flag will move to the campus with the highest attendance percentage for the previous six weeks.

Thank you, Easy Stop Storage, for investing in our schools! Easy Stop Storage chose Plainview North Elementary School as part of their charitable giving this year. This morning Yvette delivered a Christmas donation to the campus.

19 players from the Bulldogs Football team received All-District honors. Congratulations to each of these players and also to their teammates and coaches for a great season.

Central Elementary School collected food items for the Salvation Army. A total of 2, 878 food items were collected by the various houses. The Orange House (Integrity) collected the most food items with 940! Thank you, Central Elementary, for serving and leading in Plainview!
