Thank you, Dr. Sanchez, for starting your day with the Plainview Cross Country teams!
Our student-athletes and coaches rise early, work hard, and continue pushing themselves every day. We appreciate Dr. Sanchez joining them this morning to show his support and encourage our Bulldogs!
Fun fact: If you didn’t know, Dr. Sanchez is a former cross country runner and coach.

We are proud to recognize Melissa Walser of Plainview Junior High and Fely Lee of Plainview Intermediate for representing Plainview ISD this summer during Texas Education Agency educator review committee meetings!
Melissa participated in the Grade 8 Social Studies Item Review, while Fely participated in the Grade 6 Math Educator Item Review.
These educators joined more than 1,500 Texas educators from across the state to review potential state assessment questions, evaluate content and difficulty, and provide valuable feedback that helps shape high-quality assessments for Texas students.
Their expertise, time, and dedication will have an impact far beyond Plainview ISD , helping support students and educators statewide.
We are incredibly proud to have Melissa and Fely representing Plainview ISD and sharing their knowledge at the state level. Congratulations, and thank you for representing Bulldog Nation so well!
Our Bulldog runners showed up, pushed through the heat, and brought home some incredible finishes!

Running cross country is no easy task , especially in this West Texas heat! These student-athletes have been putting in the miles, showing up for early practices, and putting in the work, and it showed this weekend.
We also want to give a huge CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to our coaches for the time, preparation, encouragement, and work they pour into our athletes.
A special shoutout to Coach Trini Perez for putting on a great meet! We know a successful event like this takes a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes, and we are grateful for the incredible group of coaches who helped make it all happen.
If you see one of our Cross Country athletes or coaches around campus, be sure to congratulate them!

Parents & Families,
As your child continues their journey through Plainview ISD, we want you to know about the many opportunities waiting for them at the high school level!
From Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs and hands-on career training to college-level opportunities through our collegiate programs, our students have multiple pathways to explore their interests, prepare for their future, and get a head start on life after high school.
Whether your child is still years away from high school or already beginning to think about what comes next, we encourage you to take a few minutes to see what Plainview ISD can offer your child.

There are so many opportunities right here at PISD and we want every family to know what is possible for their child.
Their future starts here.
The Sr. Class of 2018 donated this beautiful Tree Stump Carving of Spike, which stands in the PHS courtyard. Over time, it began to deteriorate due to sun and weather. The Sr. Class of 2025 saw an opportunity to save this wonderful symbol of Bulldog pride. This endeavor, which has been in the works for 18 months, is a labor of love and collaboration between several student groups and departments. A huge shout out to Mr. Brundage and his welding students for the metal frame, Mr. Dawson and Mr. Stokes’ Ag students for framing, building, and roofing the doghouse, and to Kelly Shackelford and our PHS Student Council for painting and overseeing the completion of the finishing touches…including the memorial plaque to commemorate the Class of 2025.

Congratulations to the Plainview FFA Chapter on being named a 3-Star Chapter in the National Chapter Award Program!
This is an incredible national honor, with less than 10% of FFA chapters nationwide receiving a National Chapter Award star rating this year!
Our Plainview FFA members will have the opportunity to be recognized on stage at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo!
We are incredibly proud of our students, advisors, and everyone who continues to make Plainview FFA a program of excellence.
Congratulations, Plainview FFA! Way to represent Plainview ISD on the national stage

Just a friendly reminder that the Board Meeting originally scheduled for this evening has been **rescheduled for Thursday, August 27th**.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone on August 27th!

We want your voice at the table!
Plainview ISD is now accepting applications from parents and community members interested in serving on our School Health Advisory Council (SHAC).
SHAC provides parents and community members an opportunity to have meaningful input on matters related to the health and well-being of students throughout our district. The council works with the district to provide recommendations in areas such as health education, nutrition, physical activity, mental and emotional wellness, and other important student health initiatives.
Parent involvement is an important part of SHAC, and we encourage parents from across Plainview ISD to consider applying. Your experiences, ideas, and perspective can help us ensure our district continues to make decisions that reflect the needs and values of the families we serve.
Interested in joining us? Complete the application below:
