✨ Celebrating CNA Success: Briel Ramirez's Story ✨
Plainview ISD is proud to share a heartwarming story from one of our dedicated educators, Mrs. Missy Powers, about a remarkable graduate of our CNA program, Briel Ramirez.
Briel, a 2023 Plainview ISD graduate, completed her CNA training during her senior year under Mrs. Powers' guidance. Today, she is excelling as a CNA in the Emergency Room at Covenant Hospital Plainview, where her skills and compassion shine.
Recently, Mrs. Powers witnessed Briel in action when her own mother was treated in the ER. Briel’s professionalism, care, and expertise left a lasting impression. The ER staff praised Briel, calling her a vital asset to their team.
Stories like Briel’s highlight the incredible impact of our CTE programs and the dedicated educators who prepare students for success. We’re proud of Briel and all the healthcare professionals Plainview ISD is helping shape!

🌱 Harvesting Success in Advanced Soil & Science! 🥬
Before Christmas, our Advanced Soil and Science class harvested fresh lettuce, kale, arugula, and cilantro from our in-class hydroponics setup! A hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture.

With the additional snowfall and road conditions in and around Plainview, we will cancel school for Friday, January 10. Classes will resume Monday. Be safe, and we will see you Monday.

Attention Plainview Junior High Basketball Parents:
As we continue to monitor conditions, we have had multiple accidents reported throughout our community and on the interstate into Plainview. Therefore, we are going to designate today a snow day, and we will resume classes, tomorrow. Stay warm and be safe!

Due to staff and students traveling to school from out of town, PISD will have a late start. This will give us an opportunity to see if the roads in and out of Plainview will clear up by 10. Staff report by 9:30 and students by 10.
