We will host our first house party on Friday, September 29th. Students and staff are encouraged to dress in their house color as we celebrate our campus values of Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, Perseverance, and Respect.
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The 2023-2024 school year has gotten off to a great start! To create a safe and respectful learning environment for all students, we dedicate time to teaching and practicing routines and procedures as part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) system. Our PBIS focus for the second six weeks is restroom procedures and behaviors.
We encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the following essential restroom expectations:
1. Go: Encourage your child to use the restroom during designated breaks. Avoiding unnecessary trips to the restroom helps maintain a disruption-free learning environment.
2. Flush: It's important for students to remember to flush after using the toilet. This small action contributes to a clean and pleasant restroom experience for everyone.
3. Wash: Emphasize the importance of thorough handwashing with soap and water. This practice is vital for personal hygiene and the prevention of illness.
4. Leave: Teach your child to promptly exit the restroom after they have completed their business. Lingering in the restroom can lead to disruptions and delays for other students.

Don't forget! The Counselors Family Educational Series is today at 5:30 p.m. in the Plainview ISD Board Room. The topic discussed today is: Suicide Prevention, Managing Emotions, Sharing Hope.
We are pleased to announce our Coffee and Conversations series! Each six weeks, the principal will present information on various topics related to the campus and education. This is an excellent opportunity to share concerns, questions, and ideas with Central Elementary's administrative team.

September is National Suicide Prevention month. This month, Plainview ISD counselors will begin their Educational Series aimed at improving the lives of children everyday. We encourage you to stop by Board Room on September 19th for the opening topic!

Wayland Baptist Cheer is hosting a mini cheer camp for K-5 students! Make sure to register for the event to save your spot. This is a great opportunity for students to learn the basics of cheer in a fun interactive session!
STAAR scores for your student are now available. To view scores, login to Skyward Family Access, select "District Links" in the top righthand corner, then select "Cambium Assessment". From here, you will be taken to the Student Portal where you can view state assessment results.
