Central Families, We are excited to partner with the Salvation Army and collect food for our community! When students bring food, they will place items in their house color bin. The house that collects the most food will receive a pizza party sponsored by PTO. **A list of preferred items is provided, but all food is accepted!

Don't forget! The Counselors Family Educational Series is today at 5:30 p.m. in the Plainview ISD Board Room. The topic discussed today is: Gratitude and Its Benefits

Thanksgiving Lunch is TOMORROW (Mon, 11/3). Some things to know: -Bring your ID -Arrive early to allow plenty of time to check in and receive your visitor badge. -Students will eat during their scheduled time. They will not be pulled from instruction to eat at a different time. Plainview Central Families! This is just a friendly reminder about our Interim assessments being given on Thursday, November 9th. In order to provide a secure testing environment for our students, we will have a closed campus. We will not allow visitors or accept lunch drop offs. Please have your student bring their lunch or eat in the cafeteria on this day. Prairie House and Santa Fe Terrace along with several local vendors would like to invite the kiddos out to our Annual Fall Drive-Thru event. It will go through town on Halloween starting at 3:30 and will go on as long as supplies last at each business. This way the kiddos can safely gather candy without getting out of the vehicle. So, stop on by each business and pick up some candy and have a fun safe Halloween!

Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days October 23rd-27th

We ask that students do NOT wear their Halloween costumes to school tomorrow (Friday, 10/20). However, students are welcome to wear costumes to the Fall Festival.

We will host our first house party on Friday, September 29th. Students and staff are encouraged to dress in their house color as we celebrate our campus values of Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, Perseverance, and Respect.

Dear Parents/Guardians: The 2023-2024 school year has gotten off to a great start! To create a safe and respectful learning environment for all students, we dedicate time to teaching and practicing routines and procedures as part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) system. Our PBIS focus for the second six weeks is restroom procedures and behaviors. We encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the following essential restroom expectations: 1. Go: Encourage your child to use the restroom during designated breaks. Avoiding unnecessary trips to the restroom helps maintain a disruption-free learning environment. 2. Flush: It's important for students to remember to flush after using the toilet. This small action contributes to a clean and pleasant restroom experience for everyone. 3. Wash: Emphasize the importance of thorough handwashing with soap and water. This practice is vital for personal hygiene and the prevention of illness. 4. Leave: Teach your child to promptly exit the restroom after they have completed their business. Lingering in the restroom can lead to disruptions and delays for other students.
