Kevin Parker - Principal

Mr. Kevin Parker has been with Plainview ISD since beginning his career in education in 2011. He started as the PE teacher at Hillcrest Elementary before transitioning to teaching 5th-grade science. From there, he moved to Plainview High School, where he served as 9th Grade Principal, Associate Principal, and Vice Principal over seven years. In 2023, he became the Principal at Plainview Junior High School.

Mr. Parker attended Eastern New Mexico University on a football scholarship, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in 2007. He later received his Master’s in Education from Lamar University in 2014. He holds a Principal Certification, Generalist (Grades 4-8) Certification, and Physical Education (EC-12) Certification.

As a proud graduate of PHS in 2003, Mr. Parker values the opportunity to give back to the district that played a significant role in his development. He enjoys positively impacting students in the same community where he grew up.

Mr. Parker is married to Emily Parker, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Cree (11) and Coley (8). A passionate sports fan, he enjoys playing golf whenever he gets the chance.

Nancy Wood - Assistant Principal

Nancy Wood - Assistant Principal 

Nancy Wood has been dedicated to education since 1990, bringing over three decades of experience and a passion for student growth and development. She spent 23 years teaching middle school Math, Science, and Social Studies before transitioning into school administration as an Assistant Principal. Nancy has also contributed to student success through her coaching roles in basketball, softball, cross country, and track. Her greatest professional reward is witnessing her former students grow into successful and engaged members of the community.

She earned a Master’s in Educational Administration from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, and a Bachelor’s in General Studies with a concentration in Math from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. Nancy holds certifications as a Principal (EC-12), in Elementary Self-Contained (1-8), and in Elementary Mathematics (1-8).

Originally from Canyon, Texas, Nancy relocated to Plainview in 2008. She is the proud mother of three adult children and a devoted grandmother to three grandchildren. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she enjoys supporting her grandchildren in their livestock competitions and athletic endeavors and accompanying her sons as they compete in rodeo events across the country. Nancy values her strong family connections and her faith, which serve as the foundation of her life and work.

Ryan Green

Ryan Green - Assistant Principal

Mr. Ryan Green has dedicated all 14 years of his education career to Plainview ISD, where he takes pride in contributing to the success of the district’s students.

He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS) and Master of Education (MEd) degrees from Lubbock Christian University.

Mr. Green appreciates working in Plainview ISD because of the amazing students and finds great joy in witnessing their achievements.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, building Legos with his nephew, and spending time in Austin with family and friends cheering on the Texas Longhorns!
