The Maintenance and Auxiliary Services Department is located in the Plainview ISD Service Center at 402 N. Date. The department provides services to the district in five areas:
Maintenance
Maintenance and repair of schools and support buildings including the building structure - walls, flooring, roofing, etc. - and the district's buildings mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and alarm systems. The department also is in charge of moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and inner district mail between buildings and departments.
Grounds
Maintenance of the grounds of schools, support buildings, and athletic facilities including mowing, trimming, pruning, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, playground inspections and maintenance, trash removal and site inspections.
Custodial Services
Custodial services for campuses and support buildings including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, waxing, sanitizing, and trash removal.
Transportation
Oversight and coordination of the district transportation services. The district currently contracts with First Student to provide transportation services.
Food Services
Oversight and coordination of the district's food service. The district currently contracts food services with SFE Food Services.
