I was raised in the small West Texas town on Tahoka. I feel fortunate to come from a long line of educators in my family. My mother was a teacher for 30 years and my biggest inspiration and encourager. Three aunts and an uncle were also teachers and coaches. My sister-in-law and several cousins have careers in education as well. I have always said that teaching is in my blood. I know it is my calling and I am very passionate about educating today’s children to be productive and contributing members of society and the leaders of tomorrow.
I began my teaching career in 2005 after obtaining a second bachelor from Lubbock Christian University. In 2015, my family and I moved to Plainview and I began teaching 7th-grade ELAR. During my teaching career, I have taught, 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th.
My husband Jeff and I married in 2005 and are blessed with 3 children: Colton, Cagnie, and Cambrie. Our girls both attend schools in PISD and our son is an assistant college baseball coach. My family and I love to worship with our church family at Plainview First Assembly and serve on the Serve Team. I also love to travel (the beach is my favorite), read, journal and cook and watch my children as they pursue their many varied interests.
