    Curriculum

    Estacado Middle School provides a robust and challenging academic program in a positive, supportive, student-centered school environment. Academic lessons are data-driven and infused with research-based instructional strategies which increase student engagement and content mastery. The scope and sequence of each core academic subject is guided by the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) Resource System which is a quality curriculum designed for targeted success and aligned assessment. Students are held to high academic standards and expectations by all staff members. Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) core academic classes are offered to 7th and 8th grade students who qualify.

    Estacado Middle School offers the following support programs: Resource, Academic Adjustment, Special Education, 504, Gifted/Talented Program, Social Emotional Learning Classes, Counseling, Health Services, W.I.N. (What I Need) Program which is a data-driven, student-centered core subject intervention and enrichment program, and the A.C.E. (Afterschool Centers on Education) Program.

     

    Grading System

    A minimum of 12 grades are recorded in the gradebook each six week grading period. Daily Work counts 60% and Tests count 40% of the six weeks grade.

     

    Parents are encouraged to login on a regular basis to Skyward Family Access from our website or using the mobile app to view their child’s grades in each subject.
