Plainview High School offers a wide range of courses which challenge our students, driving them toward their potential. In addition to standard core classes, we offer Dual Credit opportunities off-campus with Wayland Baptist University and South Plains College. Students can also take Dual Credit or Advance Placement courses on PHS Campus.  We offer several nationally recognized certifications through our Career and Technology program such as Microsoft Office Specialist, Certified Nurses Assistant, and Certified Solidworks Associate. Our teachers are dedicated to providing high-quality education for our students.  We use student data to inform our instruction to help our students maximize their efforts in class.  English, Math, Science, and Social Studies classes follow the scope and sequence of the TEKS Resource System. Our teachers can then provide knowledge & skills our students will need to be successful beyond high school. Plainview High School provides everything from hands-on training in our culinary kitchen, to concert and marching Band, to cosmetology with South Plains College, and back to dual credit Statistics or Advanced Placement Biology on campus.

    Student Recognition

Plainview High School holds an Awards Ceremony every spring.  Also in the spring, we honor our Seniors who have been accepted into a college, university, or branch of military service on GenTX Day. Every year we induct new members of the Nation Honors Society and the National Technical Honors Society.
