Christina Salazar | Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent
Christina Salazar has worked at Plainview Independent School District for 21 years. She started off as assistant for three years and then moved to Lakeside Elementary where she worked as the attendance clerk before the school closed down. Since then, she has been administrative assistant to Mr. Brown. Christina is in charge of transfers, guardianships, out-of-district transfers and many other duties. “The best part of my job is talking with parents and getting to listen to what is going on in their children’s lives”. Christina has four grown children Ashley, Kristie, April, and Jonathan. She has five grandchildren who are her pride and joy. Her grandchildren are Austin, Owen, Lili, and twins Ellyn and Robyn. On her spare time Christina enjoys cooking meals for her family.
Mary Lopez | Receptionist
Mary Lopez started working at Plainview Independent School District in 2016. She is currently the receptionist for the District and runs the front desk day-to-day. She has two daughters. One is employed with Plainview Independent School District. One of her daughters is a teacher aide at Highland Elementary, and the other loan officer at Wells Fargo Bank in Lubbock. On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and finding new recipes to cook.
