I was born and raised in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.  Immediately after graduating from Hot Springs High School, 3rd in my class, I attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales where I received my bachelors and masters degrees.  Although I did not come from a “teaching family”, my two sisters and I all entered the education field in different content areas. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with kids in education. I truly enjoy building different relationships with all my students and getting to watch them grow and learn not only in their education but also in life!

I started my teaching career in Hart, Tx in 2009 working with 7th & 8th grade math, Algebra I, and Geometry. I then moved down & taught 3 years in 5th & 6th grade math before relocating to Plainview in 2012. I taught 7th grade math for one year at Coronado and then was provided with the opportunity of joining the Estacado family in 2013. Since being at Estacado, I have taught 6th and 7th grade math and served as the EMS Math Intervention Specialist.
