Inter-District (Out of District) Transfer Guidelines

  • Plainview ISD welcomes students who would want to be a part of an outstanding, high quality district. For an out-of-district student to attend Plainview ISD, a transfer application must be filled out and approved. The student's record in other districts will be considered in the decision to grant or deny the transfer. The application can be returned to the Administration office by mail, hand delivery, or email. The link to the application and the information for returning it are below.

    Additional transfer information:

    Plainview ISD reserves the right to accept or deny any out-of-district transfer.

    In order to obtain a transfer, the transfer application must be filled out.
    Factors that will be considered in granting or denying a transfer include but are not limited to attendance and discipline records in previous districts and space available in Plainview schools.

    Transfers may be denied for any or no reason. Transfer denials are final and are not subject to appeal.

    Once an application has been submitted, Plainview ISD will notify you with the
    results of your request within 10 days.
